Privacy policy
Last updated: October 26, 2026
Tipsy Trumpet (“we,” “us,” or “our”), 615 Bourbon St., New Orleans, LA 70130, operates the website tipsytrumpet.com (the “Site”). This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect through the Site, how we use it, and the choices you have.
By using the Site, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information You Give Us
When you send us a message or a private event inquiry through a form on the Site, we collect what you enter, such as:
- Contact information: your name, email address and phone number
- Event details: company or organization, preferred and alternate dates, start time, number of guests, the space, food and bar options you are interested in, and how you heard about us
- Your message and anything else you choose to include
Please do not include payment card numbers or other sensitive information in a form. We never ask for payment details on the Site.
If you email or call us directly, we receive the information you share in that email or call.
1.2 Information Collected Automatically
Like most websites, our hosting provider’s servers automatically record basic technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you request and the date and time. These server logs are used to run and secure the Site.
Our forms also record the page you sent the form from and the time it took to fill it in, and keep a short-lived count of submissions per IP address. We use these only to block spam and abuse.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information you give us to:
- Reply to your message or inquiry and plan your event
- Provide the services you ask us for
- Keep the Site secure, prevent spam and fraud, and fix problems
- Meet our legal obligations
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use the information you send through our forms for marketing unless you ask us to.
3. How We Store and Share Your Information
When you submit a form, it is emailed to our team, and a copy is stored privately on our web server (outside the public website) so that no request is lost if an email fails. Access is limited to the people who handle guest messages and events.
We share information only:
- With service providers who help us run the Site and our email, such as our web hosting provider, under their own confidentiality and security obligations
- With our events team and, where your event involves them, the sister restaurant staff who coordinate private events for our group of restaurants
- If required by law, or to protect our rights, our guests or the public
- As part of a business transfer, such as a sale or merger, where the new owner continues to protect your information under this policy
4. Cookies, Analytics and Local Storage
The Site does not currently use advertising cookies, tracking pixels or website analytics. If we add website analytics (such as Google Analytics) or an advertising pixel in the future, we will update this Privacy Policy before it goes live and describe what is collected.
The Site may store a small note in your browser’s local storage when you close a promotion popup, so that it does not reappear for a few days. This note contains no personal information and never leaves your device.
5. Third-Party Services and Links
- Google Maps. Our pages show a map only when you tap “Show the map.” The map is then loaded from Google, which may collect information under Google’s Privacy Policy. Links for directions open Google Maps or Apple Maps under their own terms.
- Instagram. Links to our Instagram account open Instagram, which is governed by Meta’s privacy policy.
- Other links. The Site links to our sister restaurants’ websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of other websites.
6. Data Retention
We keep form submissions and related emails only as long as we need them to answer you, plan and follow up on your event, and meet legal, tax and accounting requirements. We then delete them.
7. Data Security
We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections to the Site and storage of form copies outside the public website. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your Rights and Choices
You can ask us to:
- Tell you what personal information we hold about you
- Correct information that is inaccurate
- Delete your information, unless we must keep it for legal reasons
Depending on where you live (for example, in California or the European Union), you may have additional rights under local law, such as the right to object to certain processing. We will not treat you differently for exercising your rights.
To make a request, email contactus@tipsytrumpet.com. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on a request.
9. Children’s Privacy
The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date.
